Dr. Oluwatoyin Peregrino-Brimah at one of the many meetings of the Adjudicators in 2022. He served as the Chairman of the Adjudicators in 2022

We have set a standard for the recognition of excellence in fields such as art, culture, science, sports, politics and other forms of human endeavours aimed at selfless service and contribution to the development of Yoruba people in any land they find themselves. The Adjudicators are saddled with the most technical and scientific responsibility of screening the nominee's list and choosing the eventual awardees. This is a task that requires a high level of professionalism, expertise and most importantly, fairness without prejudice, favouritism and bias towards sex, colour, culture, tradition or religion.

To ensure that every nominee is given a fair chance of being recognized for their contributions, the planning committee has established strict and objective criteria for the nomination. The criteria include:

1. Evidence of significant contributions of Yoruba people to the development of the land they find themselves.

2. Demonstrated excellence in their fields of endeavour.

3. Demonstrated commitment to the promotion of Yoruba culture and values.

4. Evidence of integrity, professionalism and ethics in their work.

5. Evidence of noteworthy impact on the Yoruba people and society as a whole.

These criteria ensure that every nominee is evaluated objectively, and only the best are chosen as awardees. The Adjudicators and Awards giving research committee must carry out this screening process with the highest level of trust, professionalism, and fairness without prejudice, favouritism or bias towards sex, colour, tradition and religion.

Her Honour Halimah El-Alawa Abdul-Baasit, a Circuit Court Judge who has an impeccable record of championing fairness and equity in her field, has been chosen as the chairperson of the seven Adjudicators and Awards giving research committee. Her Honour, Halimah, will ensure that the nominees are evaluated based on the established criteria and that the eventual awardees are truly deserving of the accolade.

The Tribute Concert and Awards/All Yoruba Heroes Summit 2024 is an opportunity to celebrate the best of the best from Yoruba people, and the Adjudicators have a crucial role to play in ensuring that only the most deserving are recognized.
